Eureka Apex 2XT Review:I’ve used this tent for about 20 of the past 30 days in many different environments. Many of those days it was raining, and I’m happy to say that the tent stayed bone-dry. It seems durable too, no rips or breaks yet. It has been sleeping myself and my travel companion. Its an intimate fit, so if you like to spread out when you are sleeping, it will better sleep one person. The color can be a little obnoxious, but I’m not the kind of person to rate a utility product on aesthetics.

Eureka 313A Review :This is the only steamer I’ve owned. It steams nicely, for quite a long time. I refill about once every two rooms. I can do it faster now, because the floors are cleaner. I was impressed & thrilled with it. It deep cleans your floor. It’s very noticeable the first time. You can see the difference in the area you didn’t do yet.
It took out a yellow area the more I used it, but I didn’t realize it until I remembered “it’s gone now.” It evens out the bad spots; makes them slowly disappear. It won’t all happen the first time. But it won’t make your floor real shiny if it wasn’t like that originally. It brings back the original clean. I thought my linoleum was shiny when dry, but for super shiny, I need to wax. But the wood was really shiny. Over time, I have noticed:
Even if you vacuum first, it will leave a little dirt, (not much), in a couple places. I go back & vacuum, or pick it up with a wet rag.
It is such a refreshing change from mopping, that I clean the floor more often. It’s convenient & quick. You can do the whole house without dragging it out, & that’s worth a lot. There might be some specks of dirt in one corner, but overall cleanliness is more than before.
I washed the floor on my hands & knees the next day after using the steamer the last time, & it felt like there was a film on the floor. I think what happened is that I went back over an already-clean area with a dirty steam-mat possibly? It doesn’t look like it; you have to get up-close.
I flip them over during use, though, and wash them afterwards every time. The dirt stain on the steam mats doesn’t come out in the washer. Also, I like the smell of floor cleaner, but that’s okay, because not everyone does. I don’t use it on my linoleum stairs; it leaves drips. Also left an imprint on my floor, I had it standing in one place without the tray the first time. I think that can be fixed with wax.
I’m pleased because it steams/sanitizes, gets along the edges, easy to use, and fast. The steam is better than using hot water. No break-downs, very reliable, noticeable overall improvement in the floor. It does the basic job for you in record time. I figure I can always go back and touch it up if I want.

Omron HBF-306C Fat Loss Monitor Review:Simple device. Nothing too complicated. Very intuitive. Works as promised. It’s fun to take to work. I use it every few days. Seems to be pretty accurate. Works as expected. Comes with the batteries.
Can save up to 10 profiles (weight, height age, gender) for the whole family and friends, and a guest spot for anyone to try.
Simple, quick (~5s) and easy to use, more accurate and much less of a hassle than pinching your skin to calculate % body fat!
Just make sure to follow the instructions on how to use it to get accurate results: make sure to select “normal” or “athlete” profile, and don’t measure body fat right after eating or exercising (wait about ~2h after a meal/exercise).

Timex T5G971 Review :I purchased this Heart Monitor watch about a month ago and it has been great. With the chest strap I can check my HR on the watch or on the machine that I am using. I had a problem trying to figure out how to inter my weight on the watch, but once I called customer service it was simple. I would recommend this HR monitor watch. this is great! took a little getting used to for little chest strap but works great has lots of good features and helps me know to work a little bit harder [and when the P90X is working me too hard) – would recommend

Cuisinart ICE-30BC Review :I’m not sure where to start when gushing about this product. I have become a lover of all things Cuisinart after purchasing and enjoying a couple different Cuisinart products this year.
Here’s why we love this product:
- Simplicity of use: just keep the bowl in the freezer and it’s ready for use anytime you want ice cream.
- Control the ingredients: after FOOD, INC. changed our perspective on eating local and organic whenever possible, I now consciously control what goes into every batch.
- Put in as much or as little fat as you want: we’ve been playing with the recipes provided in the book that came with this product, as well as from the excellent Ben & Jerry’s book (which I also recommend you purchase). Over the course of the past few months, we now have a tried and true French vanilla and a chocolate recipe that are each as low in fat as we can possibly go without losing texture and taste in the process.
- No more store-bought ice cream: While it probably costs about the same to make our own ice cream at home as it does to buy it already prepared, the other night when an impulse buy resulted in a half-gallon of a previously favorite ice cream, we discovered that we don’t like store ice cream. Even the expensive, name brand kind.
- Easy clean up: it just is. Rinse the top, lick the beater then clean it immediately, and once all the ice cream is scooped out, wash the bowl and place it back in the freezer.
- Ice cream whenever we want it. Well, 20 to 25-minutes later, at least. But whereas we can not keep a carton of ice cream in our house for more than 24 hours (we have teens, and they frequently have friends to the house), we can keep the milks and the ingredients for a couple weeks or more in our fridge, so we have the makings whenever we have the hankering.
Okay, I’ll confess: this product is not PERFECT. It is loud. But I read a review where a family simply put the maker in another room and shut the door during its cycling process. And so that is what we do too. Problem easily solved. And the ice cream at the end of the noisy cycle is well-worth a little churning noise.
